Barossa Grenache
2021
Barossa Grenache
Over several generations, our family has been fortunate to develop valued and longstanding relationships with people within, and related to, the wine industry.
These individuals share our passion and our table, and it is these moments of coming together and sharing the joy of wine that led us to honour them by naming our core group of wines, the Kith Range.
Tasting Notes
Vibrant and youthful bright red/purple in colour. The aromas are of blackberries and blueberries a little reminiscent of a freshly baked blueberry muffin. Hints of subtle vanilla oak in the background add another layer of complexity to a youthful fruit-driven aroma and beyond that is chocolate-coated raspberry licorice and a hint of cinnamon and violets. The fruit is powerful, and the tannins are youthful but both are balanced as the flavours and tannins linger without drying on the finish.
Region
Sourced from a mix of family-owned and grower vineyards throughout central and southern Barossa including long-term growers like the Semmler family. Our family-owned vineyards are predominantly bush vine grown, including some of the oldest vines in the Barossa.
Vintage Summary
The 2021 vintage was outstanding in many ways. Excellent growing conditions and a mild summer led to perfect ripening across most varieties. These conditions allowed our red wines to have intense, rich and balanced flavours and colours. Overall a high-yielding vintage with high-quality fruit.
Maturation
