Amelia Burge, 6th Generation
With the family winery and vineyards as her childhood playground, it is no wonder Amelia, 6th generation, developed a passion for wine and the family business. A professional marketer and devoted to her young family, Amelia is an integral part of the Corryton Burge operations. Amelia completed a Bachelor of Wine Marketing in 2008 and has gained valuable experience both within and outside the family business, working in brand development and marketing in the wine and financial services industries. Working with iconic South Australian, family owned organisations has provided Amelia with a range of skills and a wide network of valuable relationships. Her return to the family business in 2019 was pivotal in the development of Corryton Burge, and she has also launched her own Amelia Burge Sparkling Wine range. Corryton Park Homestead is a special place for Amelia and her husband Huw as they married there in 2014. A devoted mother of young twins, Charlie and Ava, Amelia has her hands and her heart full. She enjoys holidaying at the family shack in the Riverland and indulging in her favourite wine variety, Riesling.
Trent Burge, 6th Generation
As 6th generation winemaker and Barossa local through and through, Trent Burge’s contemporary outlook on business and winemaking, together with his personable nature, bring experience, passion and energy to Corryton Burge. Trent joined the family business when he finished school, working vintages in the vineyard and as a cellar hand where he quite literally learnt the family trade from the ground up. Now with almost two decades of experience, his passion continues with the objective to carry on the family legacy. While Trent has broad practical knowledge of every aspect of grape growing and winemaking, it’s his innate desire to enhance the Barossa’s reputation for quality wines that gets him out of bed every day. Trent, affectionately known as Burgey, has travelled extensively to wine and viticulture sectors around the world including the UK, Italy, France and Japan. When he’s not managing the family winery, you’ll find him spending time on his own small wine brand Barossa Boy Wines, with his wife Jess. The wine business together with his love for sport, fine dining and socialising have Trent living his best life.
