Our Great Grandfather Percival was an entrepreneur of his time. He started the first family winery during the Depression, which along with some of his vineyards, still stands proudly today. Tasting Notes

Deep ruby red with a bright purple hue. Perfumed aromas of dark chocolate, fresh raspberries, sweet spices and cherry ripe. Rich raspberry and chocolate flavours carry through to the palate. Vanilla bean and cinnamon spice hit the mid-palate with well-integrated cedar oak characters shining through. Chalky tannins are in balance and drive the elegant long finish.

A classically big and bold Barossan Shiraz.

Region

Sourced from long-term growers across the western, central and southern Barossa. Multiple vineyards provide parcels of their most premium fruit, specially chosen to make the best representation of this variety for rich bold Barossan Shiraz.

Vintage Summary

The 2020 vintage will be known for its contrasting weather patterns, from cold spring nights and hot, dry summer. Below average yields across all red varieties but exceptional colour and flavour in key Barossa varieties.

Maturation

Post malolactic fermentation this wine was rack and returned to 100% French oak hogsheads and matured for 18 months.
