Story
Mother, wife and business partner, Grandmother Ethel Nancy epitomised family and community. As a community nurse, volunteer, local sports and committee member she instilled the value of being a patron of the community. This wine is named in her honour.
Style
Classic Australian Chardonnay lead by its tropical fruit flavours.
Region
Sourced from the Porter family, our longterm grower in the Adelaide Hills.
Tasting Note
Striking aromas of lemon and peach open up to a palate of tropical stone fruit and lemon. The oak treatment has produced a wine with a wonderful richness and mouthfeel. The wine comes together with fine acid balancing the fruit and oak.
Maturation
Matured in a mix of new and used oak for 6 months. Weekly battonage helped create a full and creamy mouthfeel and balance out acidity.
Cellaring
Drinking best 1-5 years.
Food Pairing
Pair with wok tossed Thai herb barramundi with Thai rice noodles or crispy skinned spatchcocks with a honey drizzle.
